My saddest song yet, as well as my personal favorite. It’s about the grief I felt, watching my beautiful, beloved 46 year old mom pass away from cancer last year in April. How I, and the rest of my family were there by her side, trying to comfort her and hold her as she drew her last breath and crossed over to the other side. An image that’ll never leave my mind. A hymn to her and anyone who had to leave Earth too soon, and a healing hug to anyone who's lost someone they love deeply. It hurts in a way that’s impossible to describe. We should’ve had many more decades with her - but grief is the price we have to pay for love, and I’ll always choose love, cause while the body might die, love lives on forever.
